Shura Council Highlights Saudi Women’s Empowerment at CSW69

Assistant Speaker of the Shura Council Dr. Hanan Al-Ahmadi has commended Saudi Arabia's reforms under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which, she stated, have empowered Saudi women and increased their participation in decision-making.
 Speaking at the 69th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69) in New York, Dr. Al-Ahmadi emphasized that Saudi Arabia's presidency of the session reflects the Kingdom's successful efforts in empowering women and its rapid achievements.
 She highlighted that Saudi Vision 2030 has driven substantial legislative reforms to enhance women's contributions across various fields, noting that this momentum has also extended to the Shura Council, given its role in the legislative ecosystem. She pointed out that the past decade has witnessed numerous key legislations enacted to support the state's efforts to activate women's roles, protect their rights, and empower them.
