SDAIA Facilitates Departure of Iranian Pilgrims via Jadidat Arar Crossing Using Smart Technologies
The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has harnessed its technical capabilities and smart systems, in coordination with the relevant authorities, to support and enable government entities in facilitating the departure procedures of Iranian pilgrims through the Jadidat Arar border crossing toward the Islamic Republic of Iran.
This comes in implementation of the directive of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and based on the recommendation of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, regarding the provision of all necessary services and facilitation for Iranian pilgrims until conditions allow for their safe return to their homeland and families.
SDAIA’s field teams began their operations before and during the arrival of the pilgrims by implementing a comprehensive technical plan, which included testing primary and backup systems and ensuring the readiness of communication networks to maintain uninterrupted operations.
The teams carried out routine preventive maintenance and equipped workstations with the latest smart technologies and necessary digital infrastructure, ensuring the swift completion of procedures in coordination with the relevant government entities, in order to achieve the highest levels of operational efficiency and pilgrim comfort.
SDAIA continues its role in empowering various government entities with the latest data- and AI-driven technologies to serve pilgrims and Umrah performers. This is achieved through the deployment of advanced technologies, digital platforms, and qualified personnel, thereby enhancing government service efficiency and accelerating procedures, in line with the directives of the wise leadership and Saudi Vision 2030.
