Saudi Arabia Discusses Digital Economy Growth with Germany, Japan, and France at IGF

Vice Minister of Communications and Information Technology Haytham Al-Ohali held meetings with State Secretary at the German Ministry for Digital and Transport Stefan Schnorr and Vice Minister for International Affairs at the Japanese Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Takuo Imagawa.
 The discussions took place during the 19th Internet Governance Forum (IGF 2024), held in Riyadh. On the sidelines of the forum, Al-Ohali met with several officials to explore partnership opportunities in the digital economy, focusing on empowering emerging technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), and advancing digital infrastructure.
 In his meeting with Schnorr, Al-Ohali discussed strengthening technical collaboration and promoting digital innovation between Saudi Arabia and Germany. Similarly, his discussions with Imagawa centered on enhancing Saudi-Japanese technical partnerships and fostering advancements in emerging technologies, AI, and digital infrastructure.
 Additionally, Al-Ohali met with the French Ambassador for Digital Affairs, Henri Verdier, to explore ways to support technical innovation and strengthen the joint digital economy between Saudi Arabia and France.
