Saudi Film Confex 2025 Unites Filmmakers and Investors in Riyadh
The Saudi Film Confex 2025 in Riyadh featured four days of intensive activities, bringing together filmmakers, experts, and investors, with daily attendance exceeding 2,000.
Held under the theme "A Gathering that Transforms the Scene" and organized by the Film Commission from October 22 to 25, the forum reinforces the Kingdom’s position as a regional film industry hub. It supported national talents and connected them with local and international companies, attracting global investments.
The event saw the signing of several agreements and memoranda of understanding with local and international entities to develop Saudi cinematic talents, enhance co-production, and facilitate filming operations in the Kingdom. Training programs and initiatives in scriptwriting, directing, and production were also launched.
Over 40 dialogue sessions and workshops addressed the film industry's future, challenges faced by creators, and infrastructure development. Participants included experts, decision-makers, and emerging Saudi talents, alongside representatives from global production companies.
The accompanying exhibition featured over 130 exhibitors showcasing the latest filming and production technologies, fostering new cooperation among producers, investors, and creators.
