SDAIA Utilizes AI Technologies to Preserve National Heritage
The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) marked the World Day for Audiovisual Heritage on October 27 by utilizing its innovative AI solutions to preserve national heritage.
SDAIA has developed sophisticated systems to improve the quality of historical images and films, revitalizing such materials through automatic colorization and enhancement techniques that remove defects caused by the passage of time and outdated imaging methods, ensuring that valuable resources are preserved in high quality for future generations.
It has also introduced the SauTech project, which features AI-powered speech-to-text software that can recognize speech in both classical Arabic and various Saudi dialects. The system is utilized in different areas, including meetings, seminars, and dialogue sessions.
In addition, SDAIA published a guide on generative AI that offers an overview of its components, uses, and benefits across various digital applications and vital sector services to raise awareness of its significance.
