Red Sea Global Empowers 1,995 Students to Elevate Tourism Talent
Red Sea Global (RSG) is celebrating its pioneering journey in education, which began in 2019, contributing to the development of a promising generation of future leaders in the tourism sector.
Through 16 educational programs implemented to date by its education department, RSG has provided training and learning opportunities that empower ambitious Saudi talent while creating employment prospects across more than 20 entities within the company’s destinations.
A total of 1,995 students have benefitted from these programs, which cover a diverse range of specialized fields, including luxury hospitality, airport services, tourism security, health and wellness tourism, and many other disciplines within the tourism sector. RSG's education department seeks to equip the next generation with the necessary skills and offer promising career pathways in line with its vision to develop world-class destinations.
In February 2024, on the sidelines of the Human Capability Initiative conference held in Riyadh, RSG announced the establishment of The Red Sea National Academy (TRSNA), specializing in hospitality and tourism-related fields. The academy will design and implement joint programs in collaboration with the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation and Colleges of Excellence to train participants in various specializations aligned with the needs of the regional labor market. It also aims to equip local talent with the required skills to strengthen the Kingdom’s tourism sector.
As part of its ambitious strategy to build a bright future for national talent and achieve tangible milestones by engaging and empowering young Saudis, 122 young men and women have been employed at Red Sea International Airport (RSI) after completing educational and training programs offered by RSG.
Currently, The Red Sea destination is welcoming guests across five resorts, while Red Sea International Airport has been receiving domestic flights from Jeddah and Riyadh since September 2023, as well as twice-weekly flights from Dammam since December 2024. Additionally, international flights from Dubai began operating twice a week in April 2024.
