Riyadh Governor Sponsors Citrus Festival to Support Agriculture, Enhance Food Security
Under the patronage of Riyadh Region Governor Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Al-Hariq Governor Mohammed Al-Jarbaa yesterday inaugurated the 10th annual Citrus Festival, organized and supervised by the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture.
The festival aims to support local farmers, market their produce, contribute to food security, and encourage tourism and recreational activities in the governorate, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The festival runs for ten days and seeks to strengthen national agricultural production, empower local farmers, and develop their technical and marketing capabilities. It promotes integration between tourism and marketing activities and highlights Al-Hariq Governorate’s agricultural identity and environmental diversity as a distinctive agricultural and tourism destination.
The festival features a range of events and activities, most notably an expanded exhibition bringing together the largest group of farmers and specialized companies showcasing citrus products and local fruits. It also features dates and honey alongside participating restaurants and cafés that support local products.
