Senegalese President Stresses the Need for Immediate Ceasefire in Gaza

Republic of Senegal President Bassirou Diomaye Faye stressed the need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza Strip and stop the ongoing escalation in Lebanon.
This came during his participation at the Extraordinary Arab and Islamic Summit held in Riyadh today.
"Since October 7, 2023, the Palestinian people have been subjected to unprecedented violence," he said, adding that Gaza Strip has been devastated by Israeli hostilities with forced displacement without basic necessities of life or shelter.
He pointed out that the Palestinian families are subjected to unprecedented violence in flagrant violation of human rights and international law, stressing his country's support and standing with all the rights of the Palestinian people.
