Six Thousand Tons of Organic Agriculture in Madinah

The Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture branch in Madinah announced that organic agricultural production in the region has exceeded 6,000 tons across an area of 1,379 hectares. This contributes to strengthening food security strategies and increasing self-sufficiency in organic crops.
The ministry noted that the region has achieved high levels in the number of certified organic farms and farms undergoing transformation, totaling approximately 80. This progress enhances the quality of local organic agricultural products and promotes best practices in organic farming. The total value of organic projects in the region is estimated at SAR11.7 million.
The ministry's branch continues to monitor and assess organic farms through field team visits to issue "Organic" certification, support farmers transitioning to organic agriculture, and introduce organic farming techniques for field crops to further develop the agricultural sector in the region.
