Omani Foreign Minister: A Humanitarian Crisis Worsens in Gaza and Lebanon Due to Israeli Aggression
Sultanate of Oman Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi stated Monday that “we are witnessing a worsening humanitarian crisis in both Gaza and Lebanon due to ongoing Israeli aggression and Israel’s policy of genocide, resulting in loss of life and the denial of basic rights for innocent civilians.”
His remarks were made during a speech at the Extraordinary Arab and Islamic Summit currently being held in Riyadh.
Foreign Minister Albusaidi noted that scenes of bombing, destruction, and genocide impacting residential neighborhoods, healthcare and educational facilities, and infrastructure go beyond all humanitarian standards. He said that such scenes call for “our collective action” to open humanitarian corridors without restrictions, conditions, or obstacles.
“We support the initiative launched by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to form a global alliance aimed at achieving a two-state solution, emphasizing the importance of taking practical steps to realize this goal, beginning with international recognition of the State of Palestine,” Minister Albusaidi stated.
