Wrth, Riyadh Metro Celebrate Saudi Founding Day with Traditional Arts Showcase
The Royal Institute of Traditional Arts (Wrth) and the Riyadh Metro, under the supervision of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, have joined forces to celebrate Saudi Founding Day with a vibrant showcase of traditional arts. From February 21 to 24, Riyadh Metro stations are transformed into cultural hubs, offering live demonstrations, gifts, and insights into the iconic Saudi bisht, traditional men's cloaks.
To further engage the public, over a thousand handmade bracelets, inspired by the distinctive patterns of Al-Hasawi bisht, are being distributed at six key Riyadh Metro stations: the KAFD Station, the National Museum Station, the STC Station, the Ministry of Education Station, the SABIC Station, and Al Naseem Station.
Wrth, a leading advocate for national identity, is dedicated to preserving and promoting these art forms both locally and globally. The institute supports artisans, nurtures talent, and encourages the mastery and development of traditional crafts.
Through this collaboration, Wrth and the Riyadh Metro are creating a unique and memorable celebration of Saudi Founding Day, connecting passengers with the rich cultural heritage of the Kingdom.
