Director of WAMY Office in Senegal Praises Saudi Arabia’s Efforts to Promote Moderation and Tolerance

Director of the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) office in Senegal Fathi Eid praised Saudi Arabia’s efforts to promote the values of moderation and tolerance and to disseminate the principles of the moderate Islamic approach across Africa.
He made the remarks during the inauguration of a five-day intensive training course organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance in Dakar. The program, held in cooperation with the Africa University and supervised by the Religious Attaché’s Office at the Saudi Embassy in Senegal, brought together more than 100 preachers, dawah workers, and students of Islamic knowledge from various regions of the country.
Eid noted that such initiatives highlight the Kingdom’s leading role in promoting genuine Islamic values and countering extremism and fanaticism. He emphasized that these training programs strengthen scholarly exchange among Islamic institutions and contribute to deepening the culture of moderation and tolerance.
He called on participants to apply the knowledge gained from the course to spread awareness, promote a correct understanding of Islam, and foster social cohesion. He also expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom’s leadership and people for their continuous support of religious and educational activities in Senegal.
