"Khairat Al Watan" is the economic and food engine of "Klijah Buraydah"

The annual Klijah Festival, which is held every year and organized and operated by the Qassim Chamber of Commerce, is distinguished by its reliance primarily on displaying and marketing popular dishes, handicrafts and craft products, whose ingredients come from the homeland, and from nature and the local environment, which is what establishes one of the features of food and economic security at the level of the Kingdom.

The festival as a whole is based on producing popular foods, the most prominent of which are Klija, in addition to Maamoul, Hanini, Qishd, Jareesh, Qursan, Marqouq, and other food supplements such as Iqt, truffles, Tawa, Luqaimat, and others, as well as handicrafts, products, and textiles. When the consumer traces the components of these foods, he finds that they consist of raw food materials that all come from the bowels of the earth, and from local crops, such as dates, molasses, flour, wheat, bran, ghee, olive oil, and honey, while handicrafts are made of wool, palm fronds, and tamarisk trees, which confirms that this country carries within it and above its land all goodness - thanks to God - and can, with its data, reach professional and nutritional sufficiency for many people.

Secretary General of the Qassim Chamber of Commerce, General Supervisor of the 16th Buraidah Klija Festival, Mr. Muhammad Al-Hanaya, confirmed that the idea of the festival, which was outlined by His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, 16 years ago, aimed to preserve the popular heritage, and go beyond that to open horizons and marketing areas for productive families and owners of handicrafts, towards professional and financial sustainability, ensuring their survival in the labor market, and owning the "craft" that helps establish a real economic tributary for the business owner.

Adding that the success achieved in reaching this goal was formed by several factors, the most prominent of which is that the Klija product, and all the popular and traditional dishes presented and marketed at the festival, are in fact dishes that were made and their components were combined from the capabilities of the homeland and its land, which come from the local environment, which established a deep-rooted and permanent "food and economic security", thanks to God.
