The workshop will also highlight Saudi Arabia’s efforts to have 13 locations nominated for UNESCO’s Global Geoparks Network, including Salma Geopark and North Riyadh Geopark, which are currently under consideration.
The workshop will conclude with a field visit to North Riyadh Geopark, where attendees will be able to see the unique combination of natural landscapes and cultural heritage.
