KSrelief Implements the Saudi Noor Voluntary Project to Combat Blindness and Its Causes in Sudan

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has carried out the Saudi Noor Voluntary Project in Sudan to provide specialized surgeries to combat blindness and its causes in the cities of Atbara, Port Sudan, Kassala, and Ad-Damazin. The project took place from July 15 to September 15, 2024, and six specialized optometry volunteers participated.
During the campaign, the KSrelief medical volunteer team completed 187 retinal injections, 150 glaucoma surgeries, 6 strabismus surgeries, 157 retinal surgeries, 306 laser surgeries, and 403 minor eye surgeries.
This initiative is part of the humanitarian and relief projects implemented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through KSrelief to support the medical sector and assist low-income patients suffering from eye diseases in other countries.
