Sheikh Dr. Al-Sudais: Cooperate with Security, Sense Sanctity of the Place

The President of the Religious Affairs of the Grand Mosque and Prophet's Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, delivered a speech addressing the visitors of the two Holy Mosques during the last ten days of Ramadan.

He emphasized the importance of cooperating with the security authorities, following instructions, avoiding crowding, respecting the sanctity of the place, adhering to its code of conduct, and making the most of the time for worship. He advised everyone to avoid distractions such as cell phones and photography.

Dr. Al-Sudais also encouraged the revival of the Sunnah of Itikaf (staying at the mosque) during the last ten days of Ramadan and emphasized the significance of honoring the sanctity of the Grand Mosque. He urged people to follow the instructions of the security and concerned authorities and cooperate with them out of righteousness and piety.

Furthermore, he advised women attending the Grand Mosque, asking them to use the prayer halls designated for women, adhere to relevant regulations, avoid crowding with men, take care of their children, and not disturb other worshipers.

Dr. Al-Sudais also announced that the Tahajjud prayer will be held at 12:30 a.m. This timing decision was made considering the congestion of prayers and visitors in the Two Holy Mosques to make things easier for the visitors.
