Royal Institute of Traditional Arts Opens Registration for Al-Qatt Al-Asiri Program

The Royal Institute of Traditional Arts (Wrth), in collaboration with Soudah Development Company, has opened registration for a specialized training program on Al-Qatt Al-Asiri, a traditionally female interior wall decoration inscribed on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2017.

 Scheduled to run from July 27 to 31 in Aseer Region, the program will allow participants to explore the history and aesthetic elements of Al-Qatt Al-Asiri, including traditional methods of decorating home walls with geometric patterns and engravings inspired by the local natural environment.

 The program will also offer practical training in creating natural colors and mastering traditional artistic techniques.
