The National Water Company (NWC) has announced the successful implementation of its operational and technical plan to provide and manage water for the Ramadan season 1446 AH in Makkah and Madinah. According to the company, water pumping hours in networked neighborhoods reached 21 hours per day, while the two holy mosques received a continuous 24-hour supply. The plan included strategic and operational storage exceeding 5.1 million cubic meters (2.6 million in Makkah and 2.48 million in Madinah), and the deployment of well-equipped workforce and maintenance teams.
Rigorous quality control was maintained through continuous water sampling and laboratory analysis. Over 49,900 laboratory tests were conducted (27,000 in Makkah and 22,900 in Madinah), confirming the water's compliance with stringent standards.
The company attributed the success of its Ramadan plan to meticulous early planning and preparation, aimed at maintaining high-quality services for residents and visitors.
