Houston Methodist and National Medical Care Company partner for upcoming strategic projects
Houston Methodist Global Health Care Services, the global arm of Houston Methodist Hospital, and Saudi Arabia’s National Medical Care Company (NMC) announced a strategic partnership that will expand both organizations’ commitment to developing and advancing the Kingdom’s health care sector.
Signed during the Global Health Exhibition that took place in Riyadh on October 21-23, the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Houston Methodist Global Health Care Services and NMC seeks the development and implementation of a patient experience program across NMC’s health care network facilities, and the planning and development of a new general hospital with 300 beds in the Narjis area in Riyadh.
Dr. Badr AlOtaibi, chief medical officer, who signed the MoU on behalf of NMC CEO, said “We are proud to collaborate with Houston Methodist Global Health Care Services to enhance the quality of healthcare provided across the Care Hospitals Group. We are always striving to implement best practices and improve patient experiences in line with the highest global standards.”
Cathy Easter, president and CEO of Houston Methodist Global Health Care Services said, “We are honored to partner with National Medical Care Company and support its mission to provide distinctive care to improve the wellbeing of its patients. NMC’s long-standing trust and reputation within the community are a testament to the quality of care it provides. By combining its deep commitment to patient care with Houston Methodist Global’s expertise in hospital development and delivering exceptional patient experience programs, we are creating the foundation for a transformative health care journey for Saudi patients.”
Recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the best hospitals for leading edge clinical care, advanced technology and patient experience, as well as a top performer in medical quality leadership rankings by Vizient, Houston Methodist is one of the few leading U.S. health care systems that provide international expertise through advisory services, education and training, and patient care.
