Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Inaugurates Industrial Transformation Saudi Arabia 2025
His Excellency Bandar bin Ibrahim AlKhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, inaugurated today the Industrial Transformation Saudi Arabia 2025 exhibition, organized by the Ministry in partnership with Deutsche Messe and Riyadh Exhibitions Company Ltd. The event, held from 1 to 3 December at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, brings together global leaders in industrial transformation, alongside major local and international companies, investors, entrepreneurs, experts, and innovators.
In his opening remarks, AlKhorayef noted that hosting this event for the first time—through a strategic collaboration with Hannover Messe, one of the world’s most prominent industrial platforms—reflects the Kingdom’s rising influence in the global industrial landscape and reaffirms its growing role as a key driver of industrial transformation worldwide. He added that the exhibition strengthens international confidence in the Kingdom’s industrial and technological capabilities.
His Excellency emphasized that the exhibition serves as a strategic platform connecting Saudi manufacturers with leading global solution providers, supporting the adoption of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, enhancing operational efficiency, reducing digital transformation costs, and widening access to advanced industrial solutions.

He highlighted the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to elevate industrial competitiveness through initiatives such as the Advanced Manufacturing and Production Center, the Factories of the Future program—which aims to transform more than 4,000 factories into smart and automated facilities—and the Industrial Lighthouses program, targeting 14 Saudi factories to join the World Economic Forum’s Global Lighthouse Network by 2030. He further noted that the Ministry has supported research and development projects exceeding 15 million SAR through the Innovative Factories Grant Program, and has allocated 50 seats for factories embarking on their transformation journey under the Fourth Industrial Revolution Grant initiative.
AlKhorayef called on investors and industrial leaders to take advantage of the Kingdom’s supportive regulatory, financial, and logistical environment, encouraging them to forge strong partnerships that contribute to sustained industrial growth.
For his part, Dr. Jochen Köckler, CEO of Deutsche Messe, described Saudi Arabia as one of the world’s most dynamic and rapidly expanding industrial markets. He affirmed that Saudi Vision 2030 has enhanced transparency and investment appeal through clear objectives, robust execution, and accelerated progress, placing the Kingdom at the forefront of global industrial interest. Dr. Köckler also underscored Deutsche Messe’s long-standing role in advancing global industrial development through Hannover Messe, expressing pride in contributing to the Kingdom’s ambitious and promising industrial transformation journey.

During the opening ceremony, His Excellency honored the nine winning projects of the Innovative Factories Grant Program, which collectively received 15 million SAR. The recognized projects span diverse industrial domains, including high-value materials derived from bauxite residue, alternative protein production technologies, localized diagnostic test manufacturing, advanced titanium-based materials, urban air mobility platforms, gluten-free food innovation, rapid microbial diagnostic systems, large-scale 3D-printing production lines, and advanced industrial antiscalant solutions, reflecting the depth and diversity of innovation within the Kingdom’s industrial ecosystem.
Industrial Transformation Saudi Arabia 2025 is held under the theme “Empowering the Future with Technology,” centered on the pillars of intelligence, sustainability, and resilience. The exhibition aims to strengthen advanced manufacturing partnerships, connect local factories with global innovators, and enhance the competitiveness of the national industrial sector, supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in building a diverse, sustainable, and innovation-driven industrial economy.
The event serves as a global platform showcasing the latest technologies in automation, artificial intelligence, smart manufacturing, sustainable energy, and Fourth Industrial Revolution applications, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s position as a leading regional and international hub for advanced industry and transformative technologies.
