RGA: Road Network Key to Enhancing Logistics Efficiency, Supporting Food Security

 The Roads General Authority (RGA) has emphasized the pivotal role of the road network in enabling supply chains and facilitating logistics operations through integration with the private sector. Its cooperation with Almarai Company highlights the impact of roads on achieving food security and ensuring products reach various regions of the Kingdom, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure efficiency and support logistics services.
 RGA noted that the advanced road network, built according to high quality and safety standards, has effectively connected the Kingdom's vast area of more than 2 million square kilometers. The network facilitates transportation between farms, factories, distribution centers, and markets.
 Almarai Company, for its part, stressed that the Kingdom's advanced road network has enabled it to enhance the efficiency of its logistics operations and ensure the smooth flow of supply chains. The company said the network has contributed to faster delivery of food products, particularly fresh items with short shelf lives, to consumers in cities and villages across the Kingdom while maintaining high levels of quality and safety.
 The company added that roads designed according to high safety standards have helped reduce product damage during transportation, enhancing the sustainability of food availability and supporting food security objectives. It praised its cooperation with RGA as an effective model of partnership that supports the national economy and contributes to achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
 The cooperation highlights the strategic impact of the road sector on improving quality of life, facilitating trade, and supporting sustainable development in the Kingdom through strong and reliable logistics infrastructure.
