Ambassador of Japan honors Mr. Mahdy Katbe, President and CEO of Unicharm Gulf Hygienic Industries for the Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendation.

H.E. Ambassador of Japan to Saudi Arabia, Mr. Fumio Iwai, hosted a reception at his residence to celebrate the Commendation of Foreign Minister of Japan in honour of Mr. Mahdy Katbe, President and CEO of Unicharm Gulf Hygienic Industries (UGHI) for his contribution to promotion of economic and cultural relations between Japan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In his speech, H.E. Ambassador Iwai highlighted that Unicharm Gulf under Mr. Mahdy’s strong leadership has  been committed to promoting Japanese culture and to helping deepen understanding about Japan. Ambassador Iwai added that he was very fortunate to work with Mr. Mahdy during the rapid social and economic transformation taking place in Saudi Arabia.

In his reply speech, Mr. Mahdy expressed his appreciation for the Commendation from Foreign Minister of Japan, and his commitment to further development of the bilateral relations.

On this occasion, Japanese Ambassador also mentioned that the next year 2025 marked the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Saudi Arabia and promised to furthering business and cultural exchange between the friendly countries.

The ceremony was attended and witnessed by Mr. Mahdy Katbe’s family members and a number of employees from Unicharm Gulf.
