Jeddah Hosts Global Jewellery Investment Forum
The Global Jewellery Investment Forum was held yesterday in Jeddah, organized by the Indian Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) and supported by the Invest Saudi initiative. The event took place on the sidelines of the Saudi Arabia Jewellery Exposition (SAJEX), bringing together government officials and private sector representatives from both Saudi Arabia and India.
The forum's opening included presentations from key entities, such as the Saudi Investment Promotion Authority and the GJEPC, which highlighted investment opportunities and services within the gemstone and jewelry sector.
India's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan affirmed that India is a global leader in the jewelry and gold sector, employing over five million people. He noted that SAJEX would foster high-quality investments and successful partnerships that will benefit the global industry.
Khan also announced that the forum and exposition will become an annual event in Jeddah, aiming to grow in size and impact each year by bringing together top jewelry houses and factories from India, Saudi Arabia, and around the world.
The forum's main objective is to establish the Kingdom as a future hub for jewelry design and innovation and to strengthen strategic partnerships across the industry's value chain.
