SDRPY Expands University of Saba Region, Boosts Education in Yemen
The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) has launched the University of Saba Region expansion and development project to improve university education in Marib by addressing challenges like overcrowding and a shortage of classrooms.
The project includes the construction of two buildings with 16 classrooms and an administrative office. It also laid the foundation for a new College of Medicine. These efforts aim to meet the growing demand for education and provide qualified medical personnel to support Yemen's health sector.
University of Saba Region President Dr. Mohammed Al-Qudsi praised SDRPY's contributions, which also included a transportation project to help female students access education.
SDRPY's commitment is part of its wider effort to support the education sector, with 56 projects and initiatives implemented across 11 Yemeni governorates in general, higher, and vocational education.
