Jazan's Small Business Sector Records Rapid Growth
The small business sector in Jazan Region is growing, driven by financing and support programs and a rising culture of self-employment, reflecting an expanding local economic base and increasing youth interest in establishing their own ventures within a supportive environment that encourages individual initiatives and entrepreneurship.
In recent years, a group of Jazan youth has led a wave of startups across commercial and service sectors, indicating economic vitality and a growing entrepreneurial spirit, supported by a training and financing ecosystem that has helped transform ideas into operational businesses.
According to Jazan Chamber of Commerce data, its entrepreneurship programs in 2025 contributed to supporting the implementation of 18 projects, alongside providing 39 specialized consultations and preparing 21 feasibility studies.
Efforts also included four training programs and six workshops in entrepreneurship, financial management, and operations, while financing for startups last year exceeded SAR5,400,000 in partnership with the Social Development Bank.
