40 Talented Students Selected to Represent Saudi Arabia at ISEF 2025

The Ministry of Education and the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) have announced the selection of 40 talented students who will represent Saudi Arabia at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF 2025), the world's largest global scientific event for students in the fields of science and engineering.

The selection of the students for the Saudi national team in science and engineering was based on the outcomes of the Science and Engineering Fair: Ibdaa 2025, part of the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity. As a result, a distinguished group of students qualified, demonstrating excellence in various scientific and technological fields.

Since 2007, Saudi Arabia, represented by Mawhiba and the Ministry of Education, has participated annually in ISEF, winning a total of 160 awards, including 110 grand awards and 50 special awards.

ISEF is the largest scientific platform for pre-university students to compete in research and innovation projects. The fair brings together more than 1,600 students from over 70 countries each year. The participating projects are evaluated by a panel of elite international scientists and experts, providing students with a valuable opportunity to showcase their abilities on a global stage.

The fair’s organizing body announced late last year an increase in the number of projects representing Saudi Arabia at ISEF 2025, raising the total to 40 projects, up from the 35 that participated in the previous edition.
