Health Ministry Launches 'Walk 30 League'

The Ministry of Health launched yesterday the inaugural "Walk 30 League," a competition designed to promote public health and support Vision 2030's Health Sector Transformation Program. This initiative, part of the ongoing ministry-led campaign "Walk 30," features over 10,000 participants from 2,226 teams, all committed to walking 30 minutes daily (approximately 8,000 steps).

 In a statement issued by the ministry, Minister of Health Fahad AlJalajel said that the launch of this league underscores the ministry's commitment to promoting preventive health and encouraging a healthy lifestyle. "We aim to motivate individuals to engage in regular exercise, thereby preventing chronic diseases and improving overall quality of life," he added.

 Building on the success of four previous Walk 30 campaigns, the league, which will run until March 15, offers participants the chance to win prizes totaling SAR250,000 through the Sehhaty app.
