
Makkah Municipality Prepares Disability-Friendly Parking in Public Spaces
The Holy Makkah Municipality today launched an initiative to prepare and equip parking spaces for persons with disabilities on roads, in parks, and at public facilities, aiming to ensure safe and easy access to services, enhance quality of life, and improve the urban landscape.
According to the municipality, the initiative carries cultural and humanitarian dimensions that reflect the utmost care for an important segment of society. It also underscores its commitment to creating an inclusive urban environment that respects the rights of all, promotes the integration of people with disabilities in a manner that preserves their dignity, and enhances their participation in public life.
More than 30 volunteers took part in the initiative, embodying the values of giving and social responsibility. The municipality emphasized that the initiative is part of a series of community programs aimed at enhancing the quality of life in Makkah.
