CST Highlights Saudi Digital Infrastructure via Internet Report 2025

 The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) issued the Saudi Internet Report 2025, offering key internet usage indicators in Saudi Arabia. The report showed that the adoption rate of AI tools among internet users in Saudi Arabia reached 45.2%, demonstrating strong engagement with emerging technologies. Moreover, the average mobile data consumption per person reached 53 GB per month, which is three times the global average. It also recorded a median mobile internet download speed of 216 Mbps, positioning the Kingdom among the top five G20 countries in this indicator, reaffirming the development of digital infrastructure and the high quality of services provided to users.

 According to the report, 61.3% of users spend seven hours or more online each day, reflecting the increasing integration of digital technologies into everyday life. It also examined usage trends across digital platforms, identifying the most popular and widely downloaded applications in categories such as social media, governmental services, sports, and artificial intelligence, as well as analyzing user behavior across different segments. The report also highlighted an 18% annual growth rate in Saudi domain names, reflecting the growing trust in the Kingdom’s online environment.

 The report also outlined additional indicators related to the growth of the digital ecosystem, including the fastest-growing applications, browsing behaviors, and most used search engines, reflecting the expansion of local digital content and the increasing contribution of the digital economy in the Kingdom. The report is part of CST’s ongoing efforts to monitor the development of the internet ecosystem and enhance the efficiency of digital services in support of innovation and growth.
