Magnitude 4.0 Earthquake Strikes Japan's Kagoshima Prefecture

An earthquake measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale struck the Satsuma area of Kagoshima Prefecture yesterday, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency, with no immediate reports of casualties or significant damage.
 Japan's public broadcaster NHK confirmed that no tsunami warnings were issued following the seismic activity.
