SDAIA Boosts Salwa Port Tech Readiness to Ease FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 Travel
The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) enhanced the technical and operational readiness of the Salwa Port in coordination with the General Directorate of Passports, aiming to streamline travel for visitors attending the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 from December 1 to 18.
The preparations reflect SDAIA's efforts to enhance technical infrastructure and facilitate procedures, ensuring smooth passenger movement throughout the tournament.
SDAIA equipped the crossing with advanced technologies to boost operational efficiency, upgrading network infrastructure, integrating operational systems with government platforms, and providing technical support devices. Specialized teams also offered direct oversight to ensure uninterrupted services.
In partnership with the passports directorate, SDAIA also strengthened verification and matching systems to accelerate entry and exit procedures, reflecting the crossing’s capacity to handle increased passenger flows during this sporting event.
SDAIA continues to equip land, air, and sea entry points across the Kingdom with advanced digital solutions, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation goals. These efforts showcase the development of the country’s infrastructure to serve residents, visitors, and citizens with high efficiency and reliability.
