ITFC Provides $75 Million Financing to Support Women Entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan

The International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC), a member of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, has extended $75 million in financing to Ipak Yuli Bank in Uzbekistan to support women-led entrepreneurship, green finance, and food security-related activities.
ITFC said the financing will expand access to Shariah-compliant trade finance for businesses across Uzbekistan, with a particular focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It noted that growing demand for Shariah-compliant financing solutions in the country's private sector is creating new opportunities to expand access to trade finance.
The financing forms part of ITFC's ongoing efforts to promote trade and support sustainable economic development, contributing to improved economic opportunities and living standards across the IsDB Group's member countries.
