International Competition Launched to Transform Jabal Umm Nuthaylah into Cultural and Tourism Destination in Madinah

The Al Madinah Region Development Authority has launched an international design ideas competition for the Jabal Umm Nuthaylah site, offering prizes totaling more than SAR1.6 million to attract innovative design concepts aimed at transforming the site into a sustainable cultural and tourism destination.

 The authority said the competition is open to designers, studios, and multidisciplinary design teams from around the world, inviting them to submit creative visions for the site’s development. Proposed designs should reflect the site's natural and environmental characteristics, draw inspiration from its volcanic landscape, preserve its geological identity, and showcase its geological and cultural significance.
