KSrelief Launches Medical Project for Open-Heart Surgery in Aden, Yemen

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) launched a volunteer medical project for open-heart surgery and catheterization in Aden Governorate, Yemen, with the participation of 12 volunteers and in cooperation with the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY).

 Since the start of the initiative, the medical team has performed 13 open-heart surgeries, 29 cardiac catheterization procedures, and 3 transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) procedures, all of which were successfully completed.

 The project is an extension of the volunteer medical initiatives carried out by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through KSrelief to assist people and countries in need around the world.
