Ministry of Media Wins Three Awards at the Sharjah Government Communication Award
In September 2025, on the grounds of the Sharjah Expo Centre, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia shone brightly as its Ministry of Media secured three prestigious awards at the Sharjah Government Communication Award. The ceremony was held during the 14th edition of the International Government Communication Forum, organized by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau.
This achievement crowns the strategic efforts and steadfast strides led by the Ministry of Media under the Kingdom’s ambitious Vision 2030, which has placed utmost importance on the media and communication sector. This sector serves as a voice expressing the nation’s transformations, a towering edifice narrating stories of success, and a platform showcasing the Kingdom’s honorable image to the entire world.
The victory was not limited to one award but rather the result of relentless struggle and hard work, culminating in three awards across the following projects:
1. Best Innovation in Government Communication Award for the "Media Oasis" Project:
The Ministry received this award for its ambitious project aimed at enhancing the Kingdom’s media presence in international forums and providing a comprehensive professional environment for journalists covering major events. The "Oasis" stands as a model for hosting the world and providing all means for the media to reflect Saudi civilization and the comprehensive renaissance it is witnessing.
2. Best Communication and Media Content Award for the Film "Destination" from the Saudi Treasures Initiative:
The Ministry deservedly won this award for the film "Destination," produced under the Saudi Treasures Initiative. Through its compelling visual narrative and exceptional direction, the film documented the unprecedented developmental transformations the Kingdom has witnessed in recent years, turning this narrative into an engaging story that tells the world how Saudi Arabia has become a global destination par excellence in tourism, investment, and culture.
3. Best Official Spokesperson Award:
This individual award honors excellence in official media discourse. It was awarded to Mr. Omar Al-Qahtani, Director of Public Relations and Partnerships at the Government Communication Center, in recognition of his outstanding efforts in enhancing the Kingdom’s official media discourse and his significant contributions to promoting the ambitious media projects and initiatives launched by the Government Communication Center. This award celebrates individual skill and personal competence that contribute to building the Kingdom’s honorable image.
Behind these awards are young minds and ambitious energies—the sons and daughters of this generous nation. His Excellency the Minister of Media, Mr. Salman Al-Dosari, and his support for the youth are the best ambassadors of the vision of its leader, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and his faithful Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman (may God protect them). This vision has placed the Saudi people at the heart of its concerns and made them the driving force behind the wheel of development.
This victory is the result of the follow-up by His Excellency the Assistant Minister, Dr. Abdullah Al-Maghlouth. Winning is not merely about raising trophies or hanging certificates; it is a powerful message to the world that Saudi media has made significant strides toward digital transformation, professionalism, and excellence, and is capable of competing with the best global practices in government communication and media.
This is a continuous journey of success for the Government Communication Center, led by Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Majrashi and his creative team, and a new step on the path of excellence. We extend our highest gratitude and appreciation to our wise leadership for their unwavering support of the media sector, and we pledge to continue striving for more achievements worthy of this generous nation’s stature.
Congratulations to you… Congratulations to us… Congratulations to the nation
