Saudi Reef Program Backs Rural Development with SAR 2.4 Billion Since Launch

Since its inception and through the end of 2024, the Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program (Saudi Reef) has provided SAR 2.4 billion in financial support to beneficiaries, marking significant progress in uplifting rural communities across the Kingdom.
 Assistant Secretary-General for Media and Communication at Saudi Reef Majed Al-Buraikan highlighted the program’s achievements in 2024, particularly in supporting small farmers and rural producers while advancing sustainable rural development. He emphasized the program's pivotal role in improving the livelihoods of farmers and productive families in various rural sectors, aligning with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
 Al-Buraikan noted that the program’s substantial financial support is aimed at enhancing the living conditions of rural families and increasing the productive capacities of small farmers and producers. To date, over 77,400 beneficiaries have received support from Saudi Reef, including 57,400 women and 20,000 men, underscoring the program's focus on empowering rural women. He emphasized the commitment to fostering women as key partners in productivity and sustainability, enabling many to launch their own projects in diverse fields, thereby improving their incomes and contributing to the local economy.
 Saudi Reef stands out as one of the Kingdom's most significant national initiatives dedicated to sustainable rural development. With ambitious goals and continuous efforts, the program is poised to transform rural communities, enhancing their economic and environmental sustainability and cementing its role as a cornerstone of Vision 2030.
