Medusa-14 Naval Exercise Concludes in Egypt with Saudi Participation

The Medusa 14 naval exercise concluded in Egypt, with the Royal Saudi Naval Forces participating alongside forces from the host country, as well as Greece, Cyprus, and France.

 The final day of the drills featured advanced operational scenarios, including protection of maritime infrastructure, anti-submarine operations, asymmetric warfare exercises, fast-boat attacks, and amphibious and vertical-landing operations.

 Participating forces also carried out diverse training in an operational environment, including search and rescue, anti-air warfare, amphibious operations, electronic warfare, combat diving, and tactical shooting.

 Exercise commander Brigadier General Saad Al-Ahmari said the participating forces, including the Saudi Navy, demonstrated high levels of professionalism and combat readiness.

 He emphasized that the countries’ forces have successfully mastered the operations and tactics practiced during the drills, unified concepts, exchanged expertise, and developed participants’ skills to enhance joint military cooperation.

 The closing ceremony was attended by Commander of the Western Fleet, Rear Admiral Mansour bin Saud Al-Juaid, and senior military leaders from the participating countries.
