WAMY Praises Saudi Arabia’s Efforts to Advance Arabic Language Globally

The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) praised Saudi Arabia's pioneering role in serving the Arabic language and consolidating its global standing, stressing that the Kingdom’s continuous efforts represent a key pillar in preserving the linguistic and cultural identity of the Islamic nation and strengthening the presence of the language of the Holy Quran in various international forums.

This came following the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language and the Muslim World League. The agreement marks a strategic step aimed at expanding cooperation to support the Arabic language in scientific, educational, and technical fields and to develop initiatives and programs that contribute to enhancing its regional and international presence.

In this context, WAMY reviewed its extensive efforts in serving the Arabic language around the world through its offices and international programs, where it has implemented specialized educational courses for non-Arabic speakers targeting youth across various continents. It has also supported Arabic language teaching centers at universities and educational institutions, in addition to organizing cultural and literary events and competitions that boost attachment to the Arabic language and enhance pride in it.

WAMY emphasized that integration among institutions in the Kingdom reflects Saudi Arabia’s vision of supporting the Arabic language and developing its modern tools in a manner that strengthens its presence in the fields of artificial intelligence, scientific research, and digital transformation, and affirms its ability to keep pace with global changes as a living and renewable civilizational language.
