Under Patronage of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, IsDB Group Holds Annual Meetings in Riyadh

Under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, the AAA-rated premier multilateral development bank of the Global South, is hosting its 2024 Annual Meetings of the Board of Governors in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, from April 27-30, 2024.
The event also coincides with the IsDB's Golden Jubilee, marking 50 years of promoting socio-economic development in its 57 member countries. The theme, "Cherishing our Past, Charting our Future: Originality, Solidarity, and Prosperity," underscores the bank's legacy and future objectives.
Finance ministers, representatives from financial institutions, Islamic finance experts, the private sector, and NGOs are convening for the meetings. Leading media organizations have been invited to cover the event.
The agenda includes knowledge-sharing sessions, seminars, and press conferences focused on development, regional cooperation, and Islamic finance. Key highlights encompass the governors' roundtable meeting, the 18th IsDB Global Forum on Islamic Finance, the IsDB Group 2024 Private Sector Forum, the Philanthropy Forum, and The Future Symposium.
Discussions will address urgent issues such as multidimensional poverty, South-South cooperation, and financing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). CEOs of IsDB entities will gather for a strategic session titled "Unlocking Economic Potential," demonstrating the bank's dedication to driving economic growth.
In addition to the main events, side meetings will be held, including gatherings of the Federation of Consultants and the Federation of Contractors from Islamic Countries.
