Cholera Emergency Response Project in Yemen Provides Services to Over 7,800 People in November
The Cholera Emergency Response Project in Yemen, supported by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), provided medical services to 7,815 individuals in November 2025.
The services included comprehensive cholera screening in Yemen, with no suspected or confirmed cases recorded. The project also conducted 673 awareness and health education sessions, benefiting 13,860 individuals.
The project targets areas most affected by the epidemic, aiming to reduce infection rates and limit the spread of cholera through preventive measures. These include deploying specialized medical teams to screen and monitor travelers at air and land ports of entry, supplying health facilities with essential cholera treatment materials such as intravenous and oral rehydration solutions, antibiotics, protective equipment, and sterilization supplies, and expanding the bed capacity of cholera treatment centers to accommodate increasing caseloads.
These efforts are part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing humanitarian and relief initiatives, represented by KSrelief, in supporting the Yemeni health sector, curbing the spread of epidemics and infectious diseases, and safeguarding the health and well-being of the Yemeni people.
