WAMY Concludes Bangladesh Volunteer Forum with Broad International Participation
The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) concluded its 2026 Bangladesh volunteer forum, bringing together a distinguished group of volunteers and individuals interested in humanitarian and development work from across the globe.
The forum drew volunteers from Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and the United Kingdom, alongside participants from the host country, Bangladesh.
This diverse international representation enriched the forum by fostering the exchange of experiences, knowledge, and best practices in volunteerism, while strengthening cross-cultural collaboration among participants.
The forum featured a range of training programs, field visits, and introductory sessions implemented by WAMY. It also included workshops and interactive activities designed to enhance volunteers’ skills and strengthen their capacity to serve communities in need.
Participants visited the Rohingya refugee camps, where they gained firsthand insight into WAMY's impactful efforts to support refugees and improve their living conditions.
They also took part in several field initiatives, including the distribution of sacrificial meat and food baskets, as well as assisting in the organization of Eid Al-Adha celebrations for orphans in Dhaka and refugee camps.
