Finance Minister Participates in Berlin Global Dialogue

Minister of Finance Mohammed Al-Jadaan takes part in the 2024 Berlin Global Dialogue, held on October 1 and 2, joining government and business leaders at the European School of Management and Technology (ESMT) campus in the German capital, Berlin, according to a press release from the ministry.

Participating in a session titled "How to Mobilize Private Investments for Innovation and Industrial Transformation", Al-Jadaan emphasized the factors essential for sustainable growth: long-term planning, stable and predictable policies, and public-private partnerships (PPP). He stressed the importance of sustaining global dialogue through multilateral institutions to address important global issues.

Al-Jadaan also underscored the need to invest in sustaining and strengthening multilateral trading. Such investment would reduce economic risks and challenges, while ensuring equitable growth for societies.

He stressed that Saudi Arabia is leveraging its competitive advantage in technology to not only serve the Kingdom’s interests but also further the interests of other nations.

He said: "We cannot have prosperity in the world without a very clear environment that supports innovation and technology, and then sharing them particularly with low-income nations and the emerging markets."

The minister also held discussions with government officials and prominent international investors to explore opportunities for collaboration and partnership with Saudi Arabia, strengthening the Kingdom's leading presence at various international events.

Themed "Building Common Ground," this year's Berlin Global Dialogue aims to be a platform for communication and dialogue among government leaders, entrepreneurs, and academics worldwide, who discuss the economic challenges facing the world and devise appropriate policies and solutions to face these challenges.
