Tourism Ministry: Makkah Sees 64% Surge in Licensed Hospitality Rooms in 2024

The Ministry of Tourism has announced that Makkah saw a remarkable 64% increase from 2023 with over 268,000 licensed rooms, achieving the highest number of licensed rooms in Saudi Arabia in 2024.
 The ministry is strongly committed to safeguarding the rights of visitors using hospitality services in Makkah. The ministry's inspection teams conduct regular and thorough monitoring and inspection visits throughout the year to ensure that all facilities comply with licensing requirements, imposing penalties on violations of the Tourism Law and Regulations of Tourist Accommodation Facilities.
 The continuous growth in hospitality facility licenses in Makkah is attributed to the Ministry of Tourism's efforts to ensure the quality of services provided by hospitality and tourism operators in accordance with regulations.
