
Saudi Arabia Inaugurates Participation in Bologna Book Fair 2025
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia inaugurated its pavilion at the Bologna Book Fair 2025 on Monday, led by the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission, with the event running from March 31 to April 3 at the BolognaFiere Exhibition Center in Bologna, Italy.
Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission CEO Dr. Abdullatif Al-Wasel emphasized that the commission aims to showcase various initiatives and programs at the fair.
He indicated that these efforts focus on developing the publishing industry, fostering cultural engagement, supporting the global presence of Saudi publishers and literary agents, and presenting the Kingdom’s rich intellectual heritage while highlighting its cultural legacy and local literary output.
Al-Wasel also noted that the fair serves as a valuable opportunity for the book and publishing industry, enabling Saudi publishers to connect and exchange knowledge with their counterparts from around the world.
The Kingdom's pavilion at the Bologna Children's Book Fair 2025 features the participation of various cultural entities, including the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language, King Abdulaziz Public Library, King Fahd National Library, and the Publishing Association.
