NCM Works Hand in Hand with Agencies Serving Pilgrims

The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) at the holy sites provides information and data to the civil and military agencies working to serve pilgrims, constantly by monitoring temperatures there, especially at the Jamarat Bridge, Mina and the Grand Mosque, through automatic and man-manned weather stations.

NCM is providing hourly bulletins and alerts due to the expected rise in temperatures today, and follows up with the authorities involved in the traffic of pilgrims to the Jamarat Bridge, to help them avoid direct sun exposure, especially in the afternoon.

The center gives advice through smart screens at the holy sites, raising awareness about the risks of direct sun exposure and the need to follow safety and health standards to avoid sunstrokes.

NCM expects temperatures today to range between 33 to 46 degrees Celsius, 60%humidity, and wind speeds of up to 30 km/hour. Clouds may appear above the Taif heights, and the center monitors the possibility of the holy sites being affected by them.
