Masam Project Removes Over 920 Explosives in Yemen
King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Masam Project for clearing Yemeni lands of explosives removed 924 across various regions of Yemen during the third week of December 2025.
The removed items included 864 pieces of unexploded ordnance, 56 anti-tank mines, three improvised explosive devices, and one anti-personnel mine.
In Aden Governorate, Masam teams cleared 511 pieces of unexploded ordnance. In Hodeidah Governorate, the teams removed one anti-tank mine in Al-Khawkhah District and one piece of unexploded ordnance in Hays District. In Hajjah Governorate's Midi District, teams removed one anti-personnel mine, 29 anti-tank mines, and 21 pieces of unexploded ordnance.
In Lahj Governorate, one piece of unexploded ordnance was removed in Tubn District, and another in Al-Mudaribah District. In Marib Governorate, teams removed one anti-tank mine and two pieces of unexploded ordnance in Raghwan District, five pieces of unexploded ordnance in Al-Wadi District, and 22 anti-tank mines, 313 pieces of unexploded ordnance, and two improvised explosive devices in Marib District.
In Taiz Governorate, teams removed one anti-tank mine in Al-Mokha District, one anti-tank mine and six pieces of unexploded ordnance in Dhubab District, one anti-tank mine in Maqbanah District, and three pieces of unexploded ordnance and one improvised explosive device in Salouh District.
With these results, the total number of explosives removed during December has risen to 2,656, while the cumulative total since the launch of the Masam Project has reached 529,116 explosives. They were planted indiscriminately across Yemeni territory, posing grave threats to civilians, including children, women, and the elderly.
