DGA Launches ‘Digital Excellence Program’ to Enhance Government Entities’ Digital Maturity and Unify Digital Practices

The Digital Government Authority (DGA) launched the “Digital Excellence Program” to enable government entities to enhance their digital maturity and adopt global best practices in digital transformation. The initiative builds on achievements in institutional infrastructure and expands toward comprehensive national practices and methodologies that enhance government performance efficiency and improve digital services, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

The program is part of the authority’s efforts to unify evaluation methodologies, enhance transparency, support decision-making, and improve operational efficiency. It aims to strengthen the digital performance of government entities and bolster the Kingdom’s position in international digital government indicators.

The program is built on four main pillars: strategy, technologies, operations, and resources. These pillars encompass specialized digital dimensions, including national institutional architecture, open-source software, cloud computing, financial systems, artificial intelligence, and other priority areas within the digital government ecosystem.

The authority will also organize a series of introductory workshops for government entities, attended by their representatives, to review the program’s objectives, components, and implementation dimensions, as well as to discuss activation mechanisms and integration with entities’ digital transformation plans. This reflects the authority’s role in empowering the government sector to achieve digital excellence through an integrated program that supports continuous improvement, enhances service quality, and strengthens national digital ecosystem readiness.
