General Authority for Competition CEO Participates in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum

General Authority for Competition CEO Dr. Fahad Alshathri participated in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in Russia, attended by a wide range of business leaders, competition authorities, and international experts.

 Alshathri participated in a session titled “Antimonopoly Regulation and Intellectual Property: Rethinking Approaches in the Digital Age,” which reviewed the role of competition policies amid accelerating digital transformation, enhancing market efficiency, and enabling a balanced economic environment. It also discussed several topics related to competition legislation and its application in digital markets.

 This participation comes within the authority’s continuous efforts to strengthen the Kingdom’s presence in international forums and exchange expertise with leading entities, contributing to the development of relevant policies and supporting a fair and effective competitive environment in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
