Islamic Affairs Ministry Holds Iftar Banquet in Malaysia's Islamic University

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance hosted an iftar banquet at the International Islamic University in Malaysia's capital, Kuala Lumpur, on Saturday.

The banquet is part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Gift Program for providing iftar meals to fasting individuals in Malaysia during the blessed month of Ramadan.

The Cultural Attaché at the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Malaysia, Fahd bin Mohammed Al-Shammari, and the university's deputy rector, Akmal Khuzairy, attended the iftar.

Also in attendance were several faculty deans and heads of departments alongside prominent Islamic figures and students from the university.

Al-Shammari stated that this iftar banquet embodies the values of solidarity and brotherhood, which are highlighted during Ramadan, and enhances the tie among peoples.

He added that these gatherings open channels of dialogue and understanding and also strengthen relations, paving the way for spreading peace and love across the entire world.

During Ramadan, the ministry has distributed eight tons of dates and continues to host iftar banquets in Malaysia, benefiting thousands of Muslim people.
