Jabal Khandama : Historical Landmark, Destination for Viewing Grand Mosque from Heights
Jabal Khandama is distinguished by its unique view of the holy city of Makkah, thanks to its strategic location near the Grand Mosque and surrounding areas.
Recent rains in Makkah have enhanced the moderate weather, encouraging visitors and families to enjoy their time in the area.
The camera of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) captured several views of Makkah's neighborhoods from the top of Jabal Khandama, offering a vantage point that blends historical and modern perspectives of the holy city. From the mountain's summit, one can see old neighborhoods and historical buildings, providing a glimpse into Makkah's past, as well as modern urban projects that reflect the city’s development.
Jabal Khandama is located in the eastern part of Makkah, extending along the area of the Grand Mosque. The mountain stretches longitudinally, starting from the north at the Al-Misfalah suburb and ending in the south at the Jarrul area. To the east, it is bordered by the Second Ring Road, one of the main roads in Makkah, and to the west, it is connected to major areas such as Al-Misfalah, one of Makkah’s oldest neighborhoods.
